This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

NITA-U was able to leverage its existing resoures (Programmers and Data Center) to quickly work with Ministry of Health and develop COVID Response Information System that is used to track daily information on case management, contacts followup, alerts management, institutionaal quarantine and lab results tracking. This information is used for decision making within the situation room that is at the heart of all medical response to COVID. In addittion, NITA-U was able to quickly provide secure hosting to MoH and the public information portal which improved ease of information from a trusted point
