This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

e-Covid 19 was developed without any cost by Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) as Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative and under the instructions of National Security Council (NSC). The application is used by various MOH users from Crisis Preparedness and Response Centre (CPRC) HQ, Disease Control Division, CPRC State Health Office, CPRC District Health Office and National Public Health Laboratory
Objective of the system:
• To ensure COVID-19 data reporting is accurate and real-time.
• To ensure uniformity of information reported from the field.
• To avoid overlapping of reporting
• To become the main source of data for COVID-19 outbreaks at all levels.
The web based system is developed using Java and MySQL. System went Live to all MOH users at HQ, State, District and Laboratory on 10th April 2020.
