This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

IPTPulang is an application that allows local students who are stranded in higher-education institution (IPT) campuses nationwide to apply for a request to be sent back to their homes since movement have been restricted. Students are required to provide personal details, current location and home address in IPTPulang. Based on the students' application, MOHE will arrange the students' movement with stringent compliance of Health standard operating procedures (SOP) by Ministry of Health Malaysia and Royal Malaysian Police
