Launch of new services

This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

Number of new services has been added to ICA mobile application: -ONAK YA WATAN: target the ICA employees only to donate a percentage of their salaries to support COVID-19 Virus combat.
-Visa extension: allow the UAE visitors to apply for more extension requests for their visas. These services include visits, tourism, work visits, and on-arrival visa types.
-Entry Permission for Residents Outside UAE: allow the residents outside the UAE to apply for entry permission. -Exit registration: allow people inside the UAE to register their expected exit dates from UAE.
