This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

What is “Live Green Perks”?
Live Green Perks is a program of the City of Toronto, your local government. With Live Green Perks you can earn rewards by walking and supporting local businesses.
Your perks include:
Find hundreds of local businesses that sell eco-friendly products & services
Earn leaves every time you support a participating business, by achieving step goals, or by participating in walking challenges
Spend your leaves on entering prize draws, or to expand the urban tree canopy through our partnership with Toronto Urban Forestry
How to join?
To get the perks, download the free Live Green Perks app, available for Android and iOS devices.
The Live Green Perks app uses your phone's location data to help you find participating businesses nearby. You can connect the app to a step counter device like Google Fit, or Apple Health to earn rewards, and compete in walking challenges. As a City of Toronto program, your data is protected under the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. More information can be found in our privacy policy.
If you don't have a smartphone, you can request a wallet card, but will miss out on the many benefits of the app. If you have a wallet card, be sure to subscribe to the newsletter (look for Live Green News under the News & Information section) & social channels so you can find out about event and contest perks.
