This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

Mobile app ‘Дій вдома’ (‘Take action at home’) aims to monitor the maintaining of self-isolation and/or observation and is asked to be installed (not mandatory) by potentially COVID-19 infected patients, COVID-19 carriers close contacts, recently returned from abroad or other self-isolated citizens.
The app was launched on April 7th, is available for iOS and Android. The functionality currently includes the registration in the place of self-isolation, photo proofs of maintaining the isolation and emergency calls to the Ministry of Health hotline. During the day in random timing users receive several push-notification to take and upload a selfie. Application checks the match of users photos and geo-locations with registered ones. In case of discrepancies, information will be given to national police for check. Face Detection, symptoms check, contacts add and medicines / food delivery functions are under further development.
