National Communicable Disease Surveillance and Vaccination System

This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

Enables the accurate tracing of outbreaks, and positive Covid-19 cases, as well as their contacts for contact-tracing The system has been developed and accelerated and went live during the Covid-19 crisis. • The system enables the accurate recognition of positive infectious diseases based on lab results and case reports received, including Covid-19 cases, their geo-location based on address, understanding clusters and locations, and allows for contact-tracing of positive cases
