New electronic administrative service for filing applications and registration of job seekers

This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

New opportunities for request and receipt of new e-services are created for wide use during the pandemic crisis. In order to prevent the gathering of many people in one place and in compliance with the measures for mitigation of the spread of the Virus, SEGA in cooperation with the Employment Agency launched a new electronic administrative service for filing applications and registration of job seekers. In cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy an information clip was created to help the users of the e-service to register electronically in the Labour Offices. Other 5 e-services for job seekers and employers are active through the GSIP along with detailed information on their content and use
