This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

Sydney has Australia's largest night-time economy and the most visitors, as well as the country's densest residential and commercial sectors.
The OPEN Sydney strategy and action plan 2013-2030 represents our long-term vision for the growth of Sydney at night.
When Sydney spoke with local communities about making the city a sustainable city by 2030, the night-time economy became a focal point.
What the updated planning controls allow for:
Later hours in local centres
New areas for new communities
Extended hours for unlicensed businesses
A new cultural precinct in Alexandria
Expanding existing areas
Additional hours for performance and culture
