This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

StopKorona! is a contact-tracing mobile application developed using the best global practices for the prevention and control of COVID-19.The app is intended to trace exposure with potentially infected persons, by the detection of the distance between mobile devices/applications by using Bluetooth technology. The usage of the app and sharing of the stored data is strictly on voluntary basis and in compliance with the GDPR. The aim of StopKorona! is to provide a quick response to the health authorities about people that could have been infected in the past 14 days, due to a nearby contact with people that are positive with Covid-19. StopKorona! is developed as a donation by Nextsense, in consultations with and support from the Ministry of Information Society and Administration, with the aim to support the Ministry of Health in the fight against COVID-19.
