This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

A set of forms have been implemented for structured collection of COVID-19 related data:
COVID-19 Helpline Form - Symptoms – operational since 26 March 2020
COVID-19 Helpline Form for general queries – operational since 1 April 2020
COVID-19 Exemption Request Form – operational since 3 April 2020
COVID-19 - Data on Staff in Care Homes – operational since 16 April 2020
Structured exchange of COVID-related data has been established between the Public Health Team and:
- Public Health in Gozo
- Mater Dei Hospital (Clinical Performance Unit)
- Mater Dei Hospital (Medical Records Department)
