This compendium, prepared by the Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), aims to capture emerging trends in digital responses of UN Member States against the COVID-19 pandemic along with other digital government initiatives and provide a preliminary analysis of their main features. These cases are shared for exchange of information so that Member States can learn from each other and possibly create new partnerships.

1) The Kazakhstan IT company ARTA Software developed and launched the qazindustry.gov.kz portal for QazIndustry JSC, which provided domestic manufacturers with the opportunity to remotely file an electronic application for reimbursement of export costs.
2) The Kazakh-Singaporean IT start-up clock:ster in quarantine continues to meet the needs of small and medium-sized businesses. With the help of clock: ster, enterprise directors make it easy for their human resources department to compile routine time sheets, inculcate employees with a responsible work schedule and much more. All this leads to a systematic reduction in financial losses and sales growth. Now for new customers, completely free use of the product is provided for a period of 3 months.
