Innovation in Governance and Public Administration to Achieve the United Nations Development Goals

This publication provides a summary of the findings and lessons learned from the Ad Hoc Expert Group Meeting on “Innovation in Governance and Public Administration for the Achievement of the Millennium Development Goals” which was held at United Nations Headquarters in New York on 23 and 24 June 2009.

It mainly includes three parts: Innovation in Governance and Public Administration: United Nations Public Service Awards; The Critical Role of Innovation in Governance and Public Administration to Achieve the Millennium Development Goals; Lessons Learned from the United Nations Public Service Awards Winners and Finalists.
