Review Workshop - Handbook on Supreme Audit Institutions’ Contribution to Strengthening Budget Credibility through External Audits
Resource experts from Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) will take stock of the draft contents of the handbook and reflect on how to improve the draft materials to ensure that the handbook is relevant and meets adequate quality standards. The sessions will seek to refine the conceptual and analytical framework of the handbook, discuss and provide feedback on the draft inputs submitted by the groups of experts engaged in the initiative, identify gaps and contents to be further developed, agree on relevant practices and examples to illustrate the handbook, and discuss key messages and lessons learned to be highlighted. Participants will also discuss the timeline and next steps for the finalization of the handbook as well as dissemination activities.
The meeting is part of a joint initiative by DPIDG and the International Budget Partnership (IBP) to support SAIs in conducting analyses of the credibility of government budgets through external audits.
