Digital School
Digitization permeates all areas of our life. In order to prepare children and young people for future professional and private challenges, digital know-how is necessary.
With the “Schule Digital” project, the City of Vienna is investing 40 million euros in the next steps towards the digital classroom of the future for more than 51,000 pupils and more than 4,500 teachers at around 150 schools in the City of Vienna.
Wireless School
Wireless School provides the Viennese vocational schools, middle schools and polytechnic schools with comprehensive WLAN. In the course of the renovation, other types of schools, such as elementary schools, will also be equipped in the same building in order to use synergy effects.
Digital Tools
New digital tools are being tested at six schools that are already equipped with comprehensive WLAN and improved IT infrastructure. The piloting is based on a package that combines digital tools for school lessons, training for the digital tools of mobile devices and additional equipment as required (such as projectors). Ongoing support and support through educational use cases complete the offer.
