With the purpose of reducing the number of people going to Primary Healthcare centres and to Hospital, the Department of Health in collaboration with the Malta IT Agency (MITA) started the introduction of online consultations through the use of video conferencing tools. This is bringing about a change in the way health practitioners provide the service and on how patients interact with the practitioners, so an element of training was required.
