Fighting Urban Poverty: Which Participatory Approaches?

A Panel Discussion on Fighting Urban Poverty: Which Participatory Approaches?, organized jointly by UNDESA and DGDC, as a side event to the Third World Urban Forum in Vancouver, Canada on 20 June 2006, brought together practitioners, policy makers and donors. It constituted part of the partnership to search for and articulate further the diverse approaches and methodologies conducive to participation in urban poverty reduction. The report has put together the presentations of the panellists, 4 responses of the participants and highlighted key agreements that emerged from the Side Event.
