Innovating Public Governance and Leveraging Digital Technologies for Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups

During the 59th Session of the Commission for Social Development, a virtual side event is jointly organized by UN DESA/DPIDG through its Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), and the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Korea to the United Nations, in collaboration with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation. This Side Event is organized to present an online Training Toolkit on “Government Innovation for Social Inclusion of Vulnerable Groups”. The Training Toolkit aims to build the capacities of public servants to promote government innovation for social inclusion of vulnerable groups by introducing diverse innovative approaches, strategies and experiences. The Side Event will feature an overview of the Toolkit and a panel discussion. Panelists will share their knowledge and experiences on fostering innovation for building inclusive governance and enhancing public governance capacities for social inclusion, promoting digital inclusion and leveraging digital technologies for addressing impacts of COVID-19, and building an integrated strategy for social protection at country and regional levels. The virtual side event will take place on 16 February 2021 from 8:45 to 10:00 am EST.
