The Uruguay Kitchen Program is the first experience implemented from the Brazil Kitchen Program, in Latin America, based on our cultural and food identity, creating from there our own intervention strategies.
The objective of this Program is to promote food education, in favor of an improvement in eating habits that favor a better state of health in all age groups, especially the most vulnerable such as pregnant women and those in the early stages of childhood.
The Uruguay Kitchen Program arises from coordination carried out with the Social Service of the Brazilian Industry (SESI). Upon learning about the decentralization and territorialization process of Montevideo and seeing the initiatives from the food point of view, a fully equipped Mobile Unit was donated by this Industry, making Uruguay the first in Latin America to be able to implement this Education Program Food with our cultural characteristics and identity.
The strategic axis of the Uruguay Kitchen Program is based on carrying out educational activities through theoretical-practical courses.
