An online platform to allow innovators to share their entrepreneurial ideas to help deal with the various challenges posed by the spread of the Coronavirus. The hackathon includes four COVID-19 related challenges which are a) protecting the elderly & at-risk community members from Covid-19 exposure, b) ensuring the safety & efficiency of healthcare professionals c) strengthening our supply chain to facilitate the availability of medical supplies and d) maintaining the productivity & well-being of the workforce. The 5 winning ideas will receive support (e.g. Incubation, advisory programs) and a grant of QR 250,000 each to develop and implement their ideas. This is a partnership between QDB and other entities in Qatar, including MoPH, MoCI, MoTC, Ooredoo, Aspetar Hospital, Qatar University, Virginia Commonwealth University in Qatar, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, etc.
