The e-Prescription system is a centralized solution hat enables electronic issuance of drug prescriptions and their collection from the pharmacies based on the issued prescription. The system is based on the paperless process principle. With this implementation, the greatest benefits are targeted to the patients that take chronic disease therapy. On the other hand the system in a controlled manner allows the collection of drugs to be completed by another person other than the patient, which supports and helps the patients at risk in this pandemic circumstances to stay at home and still be supplied by the needed medicine. The system includes communication between the systems of the Health Insurance Fund and the Electronic Health Records System (Moj Termin) in the Ministry of Health in order to issue and validate the electronic prescription, which is followed by automated validation of the prescription in the Health Insurance Fund where the insured person's data is maintained.
