The "Digital China" plan, introduced by the Chinese government in 2023, sets forth a two-step approach for the nation’s digital transformation. By 2025, the short-term goal is to create a coordinated, integrated framework with significant achievements in areas such as digital infrastructure, data resource systems, the digital economy, governance, culture, and international collaboration. By 2035, the long-term goal is to establish a comprehensive digital development system, positioning China among global leaders in digitalization with balanced progress across the economy, politics, culture, society, and ecological development.
