Background
Guided by the UN Youth Strategy 2030, which calls for empowering young people with technical and leadership skills, the United Nations Project Office on Governance (UNPOG), Division for Public Institutions and Digital Government (DPIDG) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), will hold the 9th Youth Forum on “Youth as Innovators: Driving AI Solutions for Sustainable Development”. The event is being organized in collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Safety (MOIS) and the Incheon Metropolitan City, with the support of the Ministry of Environment of the Republic of Korea. It will be held virtually on 13 August 2025 from 13:30 to 17:00 Seoul time, GMT+9. The Forum will serve as a platform for youth to lead discussions on AI’s role in achieving the SDGs.
