The second Preparatory Meeting for the WSIS+20 General Assembly overall review will be held on 15 October 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., at United Nations Headquarters in New York. This meeting will provide an important opportunity for Member States and observers to share their perspectives and expectations regarding the WSIS+20 Zero Draft and the broader review process.
Building on the release of the Zero Draft, the discussions will help further refine a comprehensive and forward-looking outcome document that reflects the collective vision and policy priorities of the international community in advancing the goals of the World Summit on the Information Society. The outcome document is expected to highlight key achievements, identify persistent and emerging challenges, and propose actionable recommendations to strengthen global cooperation in building an inclusive, equitable, and sustainable digital future. Once finalized, it will form the basis for consideration by the General Assembly at the WSIS+20 overall review in 2025.
