Mental Health and Substance abuse

This section is divided into 5 categories:

Day activity centres
Day activity centres organise activities and offer peer group support for customers who need assistance in recovery from substance abuse. The activities are open and support customers in their lifestyle change.
Further, day activity centres organise various group meetings, excursions and events. Customers can read the daily paper, have a cup of coffee and use computers at the centres. The staff members support, counsel and guide customers as needed.
Preventative mental health and substance abuse work with adults
The work provides residents with information on the harmful effects of substance abuse and tools that help to prevent and manage substance abuse, in addition to which the work raises awareness of preventive mental health work. Clients are provided with information, assessment tools and peer support for independent lifestyle changes.
