Informal Interactive WSIS stakeholder consultation on the review of implementation of the outcomes of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS+ 20)
9 June 2025 at 8:00 p.m. and 10 June 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (EST), Virtual | Online registration by 5 June at 11:59 p.m. EST required.
Registration is now open for the WSIS+20 virtual stakeholder consultation sessions. The two-day virtual consultation will be divided into two sessions to accommodate different geographic regions and time zones. Participants are kindly requested to register for only one session, based on their regional time zone:
- Stakeholders from East and South Asia, Oceania, and the Americas (Pacific Time) are encouraged to register Session 1 by following this link: Monday, 9 June at 8:00 p.m. EST
- Stakeholders from Africa, West Asia, Europe, and the Americas (Eastern Time) are encouraged to register Session 2 by following this link: Tuesday, 10 June at 10:00 a.m. EST
Guiding questions for the consultation:
- To what extent and how has the vision of a "people-centred, inclusive and development-oriented Information Society" evolved over the past 20 years since WSIS?
- What are the priorities and challenges to the implementation of WSIS outcomes today?
- How can cooperation through the WSIS mechanisms, including multistakeholder dialogue and recently adopted the Global Digital Compact, enhance coherence in digital governance?
