“Technical meeting for the development of a handbook on supreme audit institutions’ contribution to strengthening budget credibility through external audits”

Description
The expert meeting will contribute to the development of a handbook on how supreme audit institutions can contribute to strengthening budget credibility. It will convene selected staff from supreme audit institutions and other experts to discuss the proposed approach, analytical framework, methodology and relevant audit issues for the handbook, and to provide technical inputs on the subject matter, including the identification of relevant practices and experiences to be featured in the handbook. The meeting is part of a joint initiative by DPIDG and the International Budget Partnership (IBP) to support supreme audit institutions in conducting analyses of the credibility of government budgets through external audits.
