In September 2015, the United Nations Member States adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development as a roadmap for “people, planet and prosperity”1. This plan of action to transform the world aims to eradicate poverty and inequality and achieve peace and prosperity in the next 13 years.
The Agenda, which includes 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) brings together social inclusion and economic growth with environmental protection supported by effective responsive, inclusive and accountable governance and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
