In October 2020, the New South Wales (NSW) Government introduced an update to its regional Cloud Policy. The newly updated policy aims to promote a government-wide public cloud by default approach. The accompanying cloud strategy outlines strategic outcomes, key challenges and success measures for public cloud adoption. The success measures include a 25% reduction in ICT procurement across the NSW government and for all agencies to use cloud technology to provide a minimum of 25% of their services by the year 2023.
