We are at preliminary stages.The Finnish Government made decision yesterday on the development of Covid-19 tracing mobile application. Ie. that we just about to start our development work after a preliminary study phase. We have been closely involved in the development of EU recommendation´s (8.4.2020) Toolbox and it will guide our national development work in the area of tracing applications (contains principles like data protection). We will continue to support the development of the EU Toolbox which will contain elements of AI. Moreover, from the very start of Covid-crisis in Finland we have had a national symptom checker in use. A purpose for this was to support our Health System by the means of digital processes and e.g. self diagnosis. From the legislation point of view we want to raise the importance of the Finnish Communicable Diseases Law which has impact on several phases of the epidemiological tracing process. This particular law is a precondition when developing e-measures.
