Promoting the presence and leadership of women within public institutions at the national and local levels in Africa - first session

The Ministry of Gender Equality and Family Welfare of Mauritius in collaboration with the UNDP Country Office, organized a capacity-development workshop aimed at promoting the presence and leadership of women within public institutions. The workshop was conducted in two sessions: the first session took place on 28 March 2024 in Ebene, followed by a second session on 17 April 2024 in Port Louis. Through a combination of panel presentations, practical exercises, and focus group discussions, the workshop supported the development of a draft national action plan to promote gender equality and support women's career advancement and access to leadership roles in the public sector.
