The first preparatory meeting for the WSIS+20 General Assembly overall review will take place on 30 May 2025 from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at United Nations Headquarters in New York. This meeting will provide an opportunity to hear views from Member States and observers on expectations for the WSIS+20 outcome and process. The session will also serve as a basis for the preparation of an elements paper to inform subsequent steps in the intergovernmental process.

- To what extent and how has the vision of a "people-centred, inclusive and developmentoriented Information Society" evolved over the past 20 years since WSIS?
- What are the priorities and challenges to the implementation of WSIS outcomes today?
- How can cooperation through the WSIS mechanisms, including multistakeholder dialogue and recently adopted the Global Digital Compact, enhance coherence in digital governance?
